This new post is about the wonderful Guitarist Sungha Jung from South Korea.
A truly inspirational performer, composer & arranger that no guitar student should miss hearing! Follow Sungha Jung on Twitter!

As stated on his website, Sungha Jung is from South Korea, was inspired by his Father to play guitar, had one made for his size and has the dream of becoming a “…professional acoustic fingerstyle guitarist.” As of January 2009 Lakewood provided Sungha with a custom made guitar and continue to sponsor him in reaching his goal. Add to this the hits Sungha has had on his Youtube Channel and the lessons you can get from him at All Ears Guitar Method online, he has played with Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel and more – I believe he is well on the way to showing the world what a wonderful musician he is.

You can find many TABS of Sungha’s arrangements online here at Ultimate Guitar, and once again, you will need either Guitar Pro or TuXGuitar to view them. But remember, Sungha started out playing the guitar by ear and not using TABS.

I’ll end this post with one of my favourite videos by Sungha Jung “Howl’s Moving Castle.” I did an arrangement of this for Concert Band and when I heard it on guitar I marvelled at the expression and phrasing of the melody in this performance. Want inspiration to practice? This is it.

& Not to mention the free TABS of his pieces provided by http://sungha-jung-tab.blogspot.com/ What else do you need except time to practice!
