I teach guitar to many students and I always come across the problem of poor left hand technique. Why is it such a problem? Some of my students find it difficult to perform simple barre chords or even solo passages because they are holding their left hand incorrectly. They tell me of pain in their wrists or that their fingers don’t reach the notes quick enough – and when they do manage to ‘plant’ their fingers on the correct fret they keep getting a buzzing sound.
To help them I devised a 10 level game called FROGS (for really outstanding guitar skills).
The aim is to complete each level and then beat me to move on to the next round.
The results after 10 weeks of trialing this game have been incredible.Best of all my students like it!
The rapid increase in my students’ ability to perform and progress to more difficult repertoire has been amazing!
