This is a long overdue post and in some ways marking the end of one thing… and the start of another.

Wrightstuffmusic.com has been through many incarnations since 2008. I am thrilled to have provided so many resources and ideas to teachers and their students around the globe. That will never change, and as I continue to teach I hope that educators grow to share more of their learning. But this marks my final school term in Australia because I start work at an International School in South Korea this August! Don’t fret, I will keep the lessons and innovation coming.

Try my latest endeavour with my students at Imagination Creates Reality – Wagner.

As Sherlock would say, “The game is on!”

This gave me an opportunity to reflect on wrightstuffmusic and how neglected it had become over the past year(s). This was due in part to my wonderful students and how much work I needed to do to keep ahead of them 🙂 But also as I studied composition, more music software, and developed lessons or presentation resources I started to think how best I could integrate more learning to my website:

1. I want to make monthly blog posts with lesson plans and presentations
2. I want to share more music analysis’ and technology learning resources – for example Ableton Live & Reason!
3. I want to integrate more of wrightstuffinteractive for the world to see my projects with @MrsLauraw

Stay tuned for Updates!

It also made me reflect on past posts and how life, teaching and technology had progressed. I posted in January of 2012 an article entitled Guitar Video Series 11 where I wrote about great Female Guitarists for my new students. One of those students has gone on to perform with Steve Vai and release her own Album! Video below.

After reading James Frankel’s book Youtube in Music Education around 2011 I now have students arranging and performing their own music on Youtube – one has over 18,000 subscribers! Please visit her channel and Subscribe. It also makes a great opportunity for students to evaluate performances from their “peers.”

Keep an eye out for more posts, updates and presentation materials coming your way as I prepare to move. My question is, what resources would you want up here?
