I am currently undertaking my Masters in Music Technology. As a classroom music teacher this has benefited me greatly as I can apply much of my research straight to classroom situations. One way I can do this is through educational music software. As part of an assignment I had to briefly review three software packages. I reviewed Sibelius 5, Reason 4.0 and Auralia 3.5 for PC (and 2.1 for Mac). It was great to actually have the opportunity to dig in to the software and think of what they can offer my classroom. Have a look and let me know what you think! Each review can downloaded as a pdf by clicking on the links provided.
Sibelius 5 Review———————-Reason 4 Review———————Auralia 3.5 Review
Hi! I found your review via squidoo. I have been using sibelius in and out of the classroom for several years. When I tried the demo version it really didn’t do that much. You couldn’t save or edit etc… I am glad you had more success! Good luck with your Masters!
All the best,
Lisa
