I recently drew up a mock proposal to supply my school with a Music Technology Lab.  The implied grant added up to $25,000 for the purchase and setup of “Music Technology” in a classroom.  I decided on creating a series of desks/workstations for keyboard and theory instruction with related software.  I also budget for recording hardware and decked out the whole room to cater for both MIDI and AUDIO manipulation.  The best part is that the teacher can control/hear each workstation’s sound via their desk or solo a students’ work for the class to hear and analyse.

I had to justify my choices, provide a table of costs and draw a diagram of the finished product (click the picture for a larger version for my layout).

If you have any ideas on how I could make a better proposal let me know.

Or, if you like what I did, let me know how it helped you.
